Midland WR Juleion Bowers Commits To UTEP

UTEP has snagged a recruit out of West Texas, Juleion Bowers of Midland High.

The speedster was a part of one of the most explosive offenses in Midland High history. The Bulldogs scored around 40 points per game, and had a season-high 73 points in the first round of the playoffs against El Paso El Dorado.

He’ll join a solid class of players for UTEP that includes lots of incredibly successful players from Texas, including a pair from Refugio and James Tupou from Allen.

The Miners went 4-8 in 2016, and they lose arguably one of their most prolific players of all time to the NFL Draft in running back Aaron Jones.
