Former Arizona State wide receiver Cameron Smith will play his final season of college in a different uniform. Smith has officially signed as a graduate transfer at Notre Dame and will play his final season with the Fighting Irish, the school announced Monday.

The former Coppell wide receiver played three seasons in Tempe where he saw action in 30 games and started 18 over his Sun Devil career. After a relatively quiet freshman season in 2013, he broke out on the scene as a sophomore in 2014 finishing with 41 catches for 596 yards and six touchdowns. Interestingly enough, he had four catches for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Sun Devils win over Notre Dame that same year.
Smith spent last year making his way back from a knee injury that forced him to miss the entire 2015 season. He caught 11 passes for 183 yards this past season.
He becomes the second Sun Devil wide receiver to leave the program this offseason after wide receiver Ellis Jefferson left for Houston as a graduate transfer. Smith will have his chance to help spark an Irish offense that is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 4-8 season.
