First, Fort Bend Ridge Point linebacker Chad Bailey made his commitment to the Tigers during the afternoon via Twitter.

The four-star linebacker (247 Sports) chose the Tigers over offers from Minnesota and Ole Miss among others.

The rising senior standout was a star on the field last season for the Panthers, finishing with 99 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, five sacks, two interceptions and was named the District 20-6A MVP for his efforts.

He was the ninth commit in the class of 2018 for the Tigers and the second linebacker to commit. That said, Bailey wasn’t the only Houston area talent to announce his commitment.

The three-star prospect chose Missouri over Iowa State, Baylor, Tennessee and Tulsa among others. He became Commit No. 10 in the Class of 2018 for the Tigers.

2016 proved to be a good year for the rising senior who has shown off his versatility both on offense and special teams. Playing behind other top receivers in Keylon Stokes and Jalen Preston, Scott finished the year with 27 catches for 438 yards and three touchdowns, earning him a first team all-district selection.

The two Houston area talents now add to the 2018 class, half of whom hail from the Lone Star State. Mansfield Timberview athlete Jalen Knox, Dallas Madison receiver James Gray and Del Valle linebacker Cameron Wilkins have all committed within the last two months to Missouri.
