The Indianapolis Colts will be without Andrew Luck for all of 2017.
After months of wondering, Colt fans finally of their answers. The teams star quarterback had surgery last January on his throwing shoulder, and the franchise had hopes he would return sometime in 2017.
That hope was crushed Thursday when the Colts announced they would put him away for the remainder of the season.
Luck, a Stratford (Houston) high school alum, began to practice again in October. However, a setback caused him and the team to worry about his progress.
Indianapolis stated there would be no extra surgery for Luck, but just rest and rehab.
The Colts have not had much luck without Luck, as their only wins come against The Browns and The 49ers. Although Jacoby Brissett is not as prominent as a quarterback as Luck is, the teams biggest issue remains the offensive line. Whoever has been taking snaps has seen a league-high 33 sacks this year.
Andrew Luck signed a six-year contract in 2016, so Indianapolis will definitely keep its hopes its franchise quarterback will be ready come 2018.
Colts announced Andrew Luck on IR. Out for year. No more mystery.
