LOS ANGELES — The 2018 draft class is expected to be a deep field for running backs and one more former Texas high school football standout has put his name in the mix. On Friday, USC running back Ronald Jones announced that he would be skipping his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

Jones, a standout running back for the Trojans this season, finished with 1550 yards and 19 touchdowns during his junior season. He also helped USC win a Pac-12 title. The former McKinney North star also leaves Los Angeles as the No. 5 all-time leading rusher in USC history.
Per the Orange County Register, Jones received a second round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board. The NFL Draft will be held about 50 miles away from Jones’ hometown of McKinney at AT&T Stadium in Arlington in April.
