Dakorien Moore Drops LSU Commit, Texas Favored
One of the best players in the entire 2025 class may stay in the Lone Star State.
Duncanville five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore is no longer headed to LSU. After a brief dalliance with the Tigers, Moore decommitted on X:
“I want to express my sincere graditude (sic) to coach Kelly and the entire LSU community for their tremendous support of my family and me. I am incredibly blessed and deeply apppreciative (sic) of the opportunity the coaching staff has given me to play football at the collegiate level.
After careful and extensive consideration, my family and I have decided that it is in my best interest to decommit from LSU. I want to emphasize that despite this deicision (sic), I will not be considering any recruitment offers.
I will always hold love for the entire LSU family; the culture there is truly unmatched.”
Moore also stated he will not consider new offers and will only choose from schools he was considering before his commitment, narrowing his options between Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas—the latter of which just had two wide receivers drafted in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft.
It’s pretty obvious the Longhorns are currently the favorites. Not only did they make the CFP last season, Moore will also most certainly be catching passes by highly touted Arch Manning.
Moore is officially set to visit Columbus on May 31, Austin on June 14, and Eugene on June 21. He hopes to commit before his senior season.
With Duncanville, Moore has competed at varsity since his freshman year. He has made the Texas 6A D-I state championship each year he has started, including back-to-back victories his sophomore and junior seasons.
