Top 5 Texas High School Football QBs In College Football 25

laser combines 40 timing promo

After an absence of over a decade, EA Sports College Football 25 has debuted on all video game platforms… and it delivered on the hype.

The release has already made $220 million, after reportedly 2.2 million fans pre-ordered the game with an extra fee.

All 134 teams in DI football are available and include all the environmental details right in regards to their respective universities.

You can hear the canon shots at Darryl K. Royal.

You can witness the Rebel-led Texas A&M charge, the 12th Man flag waving.

You can follow the Masked Rider galloping onto Jones AT&T Stadium.

The game was axed 11 years ago; former college athletes, including Ed O’Bannon, sued over the use of their name and likeness without pay. Now, student athletes are being paid a minimum of $600 for being featured in the game.

Of course, when it comes to the gridiron, we all know that there are plenty of Texas high school graduates in the mix, especially at the quarterback position.

These are the Top Five Texas High School Football Quarterbacks In College Football 25:

5. Seth Henigan, Denton Ryan, Memphis

Rating: 89 OVR

Overall QB Ranking: 10th

Last season, Henigan was one of only nine players in the entire FBS to start every game on the schedule. He finished his junior season ranked fourth in the NCAA in passing yards, fifth in passing touchdowns, and seventh in total offense (generating 319.8 all purpose yards).

The stats were expected, considering how solid Henigan was in high school. Coached by his father Dave at Denton Ryan, Henigan amassed 7,234 passing yards for 79 touchdowns on just 14 interceptions. In total, he led the Raiders to an incredible 44-2 record, capturing the 2020 5A Division I State title in his senior finale.

4 Kaidon Salter (Cedar Hill, Liberty)

Rating: 90 OVR

Overall QB Ranking: 7th

As a four-time C-USA Offensive Player of the Week, Salter led the Flames to their first-ever perfect regular season record in school history, achieving a flawless 13-0 mark heading into bowl season. In seven games, he passed for 225 yards or more, including a pair of 300+ passing-yard performances.

A four-star recruit at Cedar Hill, Salter finished his prep career with 5,564 yards and 52 touchdowns, including an appearance at the state title game as a senior.

3. Jalen Milroe, Katy Tompkins, Alabama

Rating: 90 OVR

Overall QB Ranking: 5th

Despite falling in the CFP, Milroe already cemented his place in Crimson Tide history, launching a miraculous 4th-and-32 touchdown pass against the LSU Tigers last November.

During his sophomore campaign, Milroe ranked second in the SEC and fifth nationally in passer efficiency rating at 172.2. In total, he completed 187-of-284 passes for 2,834 yards and 23 scores, including 161 rushes for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns—the highest among all quarterbacks.

As a dual-threat with Tompkins, Milroe competed for head coach Todd McVey, going undefeated his senior year in 2020.

2. Quinn Ewers (Southlake, UT)

Rating: 92 OVR

Overall QB Ranking: 4th

Ewers is one of three athletes on the title’s cover, yet ranked just below the top spot on our list. He’s also the Longhorn that may finally get the Burnt Orange their first CFP Championship, barely falling in the CFP Playoff last season.

As a sophomore, Ewers completed 3,469 yards for 22 touchdowns; his passing accomplishments were the fifth-most in school history. All the more impressive, considering his backup, Archie Manning, is ranked in the top twenty of College Football 25 quarterback overall ranking, despite never starting at the collegiate level.

Throughout South Texas, Ewers is the real deal, gracing billboards and TV spots as a local homegrown talent. The Carroll product totaled 6,445 yards passing and 73 touchdowns, taking his team to the 6A Division I state championship.

1. Shedeur Sanders (Cedar Hill Trinity Christian, Colorado University)

Rating: 93 OVR

Overall QB Ranking: 1st

There’s a lot of hyping heading into coach Deion Sander’s second go-around with the Buffs. Then again, there was a lot of eyes on the squad last year, where Colorado fell to a paltry 4-8.

Senior Shedeur Sanders is an obvious bright spot.

Through 11 games during his senior campaign, Sanders completed 69% of his passes for 3,230 yards and 31 touchdowns on a mere 31 touchdowns. However, as Whitehouse standout Patrick Mahomes found out during his tenure with Texas Tech, generating big numbers at quarterback doesn’t mean a thing if your team has zero defense. The losing season was very unusual for Sanders, who previously won at nearly every level. In his first two seasons with Jackson State, before transferring to join his pops, he recorded a 23-3 marker, including a perfect 16-0 against SWAC teams.

With Trinity Christian, Sanders played four years under coach Andre’ Hart. With his career of 12,627 yards and 166 touchdowns, Sanders recorded the 10th most wins at the prep level all-time.
