From the Friday Night Lights of Whitehouse Wildcats under the watchful guise of head coach Adam Cook to Super Bowl LIV under the eyes of the world, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have won Super Bowl LIV 31-20 over the San Francisco 49’ers.
Then it was the Patty Mahomes show. The Whitehouse, TX product, and Texas Tech QB took over the game, in dramatic fashion.
Methodically driving down the field, Mahomes lead the Chiefs on a 21-0 run as they sealed the game with an interception with less than 2 minutes remaining to grab his first Super Bowl victory.
Those heroics earned Patrick the Super Bowl MVP honors. Mahomes was 26-42 with 286 yards passing and 2 TD’s and 2 INT’s.
In classic fashion, Mahomes said, “I’ve been waiting my whole life to say this, but I’m going to Disney World.”
This Super Bowl victory marks the first time that the Kansas City Chiefs have won the Lombardi trophy since Super Bowl 4, 50 years ago. Congratulations to the Chiefs nation, and Patrick Mahomes!
