Former Grapevine and Mesquite Poteet coach Randy Jackson has accepted a job at North Forney, as per multiple reports and announced by Forney ISD on Monday.
In his previous three seasons with the Mustangs, Jackson was committed to a Grapevine rebuild that started with a 3-8 year, but evolved into a postseason contender with records of 8-3 and 10-2 respectively.
Coach Jackson previously coached within Forney ISD from 2010-12, where he staged a similar turnaround with Mesquite Poteet, laiming a 30-9 record. After that, he was the head coach at Plano East for one season
North Forney finished with a 4-6 mark last season, and haven’t had a winning campaign since 2011. The Falcons are lead by 3-star pro-style quarterback Colby Suits, who will likely field FBS offers this upcoming year.
