Mike MacIntyre’s success recruiting the Texas pipeline continues with Bishop Lynch athlete Jarek Broussard becoming the latest to commit to Colorado.
A three-star prospect from the Dallas-area, Broussard committed to the Buffaloes over offers from New Mexico State, Arkansas State, Colorado State, Illinois, Houston, TCU, Texas State and TCU.
Broussard’s recruitment has gained momentum this spring after a junior season in which he starred out of the backfield and as a pass catcher. In addition to his 875 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, Broussard hauled in 44 receptions for 781 yards and nine scores.
He now becomes commit No. 9 for MacIntyre this cycle and the third pledge from Texas after Colorado plucked eight players from The Lone Star State last cycle.
At 5’9, 171 pounds, Broussard ranks as the nation’s No. 1,122 player, No. 84 athlete and the No. 149 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
