UMHB is currently 3-0 on the season and they are coming off a 50-7 dismantling of Texas
Lutheran last week. The victory was the 18th consecutive for the defending National Champions
and they will be looking for number 19, as they travel south on I=35 to play the Pirates of
Southwestern University this Saturday.
This season UMHB has outscored their opponents 97-17 and the defense has forced 6
turnovers. Last week in the game against TLU, the Cru offense had its most productive
performance of the season totaling 482 total yards. The defense was dominant as well, forcing 5
turnovers and converting them for 24 points.
UMHB received 49 first place votes and 1,297 points in the AFCA polls, their rival and fellow
ASC Conference opponent Hardin-Simmons received 1,024 points and is currently ranked 6th.
The Cru will travel to Abilene on October 7 to face Hardin-Simmons in what will be a highly
anticipated ball game.
