The rising junior chose the Seminoles over offers from Oklahoma, Auburn and Texas A&M among others. He made the commitment after camping at Florida State earlier this past week.
At 6-2 and 200 pounds, Curry is listed as a four-star recruit and a Top 20 prospect in Texas according to 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He is the eighth commit in the Class of 2019 for Florida State.
Curry had a solid sophomore season for Stafford, finishing with 22 catches for 447 yards and five touchdowns to earn a second team all-district selection. He’s expected to take on an even bigger role for the Spartans this season after the team finished 9-5 as a regional finalist in Class 4A Division I.
Stafford opens their 2017 season at home on September 1 against Houston North Forest.
