FORT WORTH — Texas Christian University bounced back at home on Saturday night with a 24-7 win over Texas and moved back up in the latest AP Poll released on Sunday. The Horned Frogs moved up two spots from No. 10 to No. 8 in the newest rankings released.

Horned Frogs also benefited from two Top 10 teams going down from the Big Ten on Saturday. Previously ranked No. 7 Penn State lost at Michigan State while previously ranked No. 3 Ohio State was blown out by Iowa.

TCU remains the only Texas team ranked in either poll and have a major opportunity Saturday to make their case for the College Football Playoff. The Horned Frogs travel to No. 5 Oklahoma on Saturday in a game that will likely decide who plays in the Big 12 championship and keeps their hopes alive for the playoff.

Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST.
