Another day, another bowl game. Thursday night gives us the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on the blue turf in Boise, Idaho. The Idaho Vandals (7-5) are finishing their penultimate season in the Sun Belt before they head down to FCS in 2018. They face Colorado State (8-4) in what should be a high scoring affair.
Idaho Vandals
#15 DL Glen Antoine, Senior, Round Rock High School- the two-year starter is ending his career with the Vandals with a solid senior season. He has had 33 total tackles on the season with 3 tackles for loss and one sack. He has played in all 12 games this season.
#40 Mike Linehan, RS Freshman, Highland Park- The son of Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan has played in eight games this season after being redshirted his freshman year. He has 12 tackles and one tackle for loss this season.
Colorado State Rams
#39 LB Hunter Donnelly, Freshman, Arlington Martin- Redshirted this year
#14 WR Anthony Hawkins, Freshman, Arlington Bowie- In his first year with the Rams, Hawkins has two catches for 27 yards and one touchdown. He has played in all 12 games.
#90 TE Brett Jordan, RS Junior, Houston Bellaire- He made the switch from defensive line to offensive line last year but has played two games this year as the back up tight end. He hasn’t caught any passes.
#40 RB Jonathan Lewis, RS Sophomore, La Porte- hasn’t played in a game this year.
#36 LB Bryan Ohene-Gyeni, RS Senior, Mansfield Summit- Played in all 12 games and has recorded 21 tackles, one sack and two tackles for losses. He also has a forced fumble and a pass deflection on the year. He is a three-year letter winner.
#24 RB Bryce Peters, RS Junior, Cypress Falls- In 11 games this season, Peters has 43 yards on 11 carries with a season long 13 yard rush.
#7 DB Demontrie Taylor, RS Sophomore, Denton Guyer- In his five games this season, Taylor has six tackles and a fumble recovery. He has started one game.
