June has been a great month for Texas State on the recruiting trail.
The Bobcats’ hot streak continued on Wednesday when Cuero defensive end/ tight end Caeveon Patton, Seguin-Arlington offensive tackle Brian Parish, Arlington High School tight end Nic Foster and Duncanville athlete Jaylin Nelson all verbally committed to the program.
Patton, Parish, Foster and Nelson are Texas State’s fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth commits for this month alone (Aledo tight end Logan Peterson, Corsicana quarterback Kishawn Kelley, Manvel linebacker London Harris and Georgetown wide receiver Beau Corrales were the others). The Bobcats now have 12 verbal commits for the 2017 class and have nine scholarships available — although none of those players are guarantees until they sign their National Letter of Intent, which won’t happen before next February.
