The Stars of Week 11 of Texas High School Football
QB Keldric Luster, Frisco Liberty:
Luster shined bright in the 27-24 win over Lovejoy. He passed for 303 yards and rushed for 102 yards and accounted for 402 yards and 4 total touchdowns en route to a share of the District 7-5A title.
Frisco Liberty ended Lovejoy’s 18-game regular-season winning streak.
QB DeAngelo Ponder, Arlington Bowie:
Ponder passed for 311 yards and 1 touchdown, and added 95 yards on the ground in a 51-20 loss to Arlington.
QB Sam Battle, Waco Midway:
Battle was in a battle in a 63-56 loss to Mansfield Lake Ridge. Battle passed for 427 yards and 5 touchdowns.
RB Dominique Hill, Waco Midway:
Hill rushed for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns in the loss to Mansfield Lake Ridge. Both teams combined for 1327 yards of total offense.
QB Kennen Miller, Mansfield Lake Ridge:
It was Miller time as he passed for 341 yards and four touchdowns, and 1 INT in leading Lake Ridge to a 63-56 win over Waco Midway.
WR Junior Thorton, Waco Midway:
Thornton caught 13 of Sam Battle’s passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Mansfield Lake Ridge.
QB Gavin Rutherford, Katy Cinco Ranch:
Rutherford passed for 247 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown in a 26-24 loss to Katy Seven Lakes.
WR Pierce Richards, Humble Kingwood Park:
Richards caught 10 balls for 194 yards ( averaged 19 yards per catch) in a 51-34 win over Dayton.
QB Cade Klubnik, Austin Westlake:
Klubnik, back in action after missing three games due to injury, picked up where left off. He accounted for five touchdowns (3 passing, 2 rushing) in a 63-21 win over Lake Travis.
QB Bo Edmundson, Lake Travis:
Edmundson passed for two touchdowns and added a score on the ground in the 63-21 loss to Austin Westlake.
QB Bishop Davenport, Spring:
Bishop was king once again, accounting for five touchdowns (4 passing, 1 rushing) in a 65-13 rout of Houston MacArthur.
QB Nick Evers, Flower Mound:
Evers was 21 of 28 passing (75%) for 227 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. He also added 145 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns in a 45-21 win over Coppell.
QB Sawyer Anderson, Parish Episcopal:
Anderson passed for 311 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 66-28 win over Fort Worth All Saints.
RB EJ Higgins, Kennedale:
Higgins rushed for 232 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 63-0 drubbing of Fort Worth Benbrook.
