We are back with another episode of the T.J. McAloon show. This week’s guest is Bleacher Report’s lead MLB writer, Zach Rhymer. Yes, this is a podcast over on a football site. So, we begin the conversation talking about the Oakland Raiders leaving for Las Vegas.
Zach is from the Bay Area, so this isn’t new to him to see the Raiders leave the area. They departed for Los Angeles back in 1982, and then came back after a new stadium wasn’t built for them. However, as we discuss on the podcast, the team only gained it’s fanfare back in recent years.
A main reason for why the fans came back is because the on the field play became better. If this team falls off a cliff again when they move to Vegas how long does the support stay?
But, the meat and potatoes of the podcast is around the upcoming MLB season. Texas has two really good teams this year. With the Rangers, and Astros, contending for the American League West division crown, fans in the state will have a lot to pay attention to during the football offseason.
