Seattle Seahawks and former TCU and West Mesquite quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested early Monday morning, according to Fox 4 News.
Boykin was in the passenger seat as a car he was riding in crashed into a bar in Dallas, injuring multiple. He was brought up on public intoxication and drug charges. The report does not state which type of drug was in Boykin’s possession. This is not the first time Boykin has had a run in with the law, he was suspended for the 2016 Alamo Bowl after assaulting a police officer in the aftermath of a bar fight.
After a record breaking career at TCU, Boykin went on to be the Seahawk’s primary backup, providing support in case Russell Wilson was ever injured.
