According to a report from the Abilene Reporter-News, running back Dontrell Dock of Conroe High and defensive back Ryan McBeth of North Crowley have been arrested for capital murder. Both young men are no longer listed on the university’s website.

The duo have been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred on January 11th, killing Chris Dion-Russell (29) in Fort Worth. Dock appeared in six games for the Warhawks, and carried the ball 18 times for 49 yards and two touchdowns. McBeth played in all nine of McMurry’s games in 2016, and nabbed two interceptions in that time. The Warhawks ended their season 4-5.
