D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork, son of the Houston Texans defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, has been dismissed from the University of Houston football team after he was arrested for possession of codeine.
The freshman safety was arrested on Dec. 21 according to reports obtained by Dana Guthrie of the Houston Chronicle after an alleged 381 grams of codeine was found by authorities in Friendswood, Texas.
Holmes-Wilfork was a walk on that did not appear in any games for Houston this year and could be facing a possible sentence of anywhere from two to 20 years in prison if convicted of felony drug possession.
