In the B1G teleconference, Urban Meyer let some key information loose pertaining to the playing time of La Grange graduate J.K. Dobbins. He’s going to play as a true freshman in the fall.
Obviously, it’s huge to play anywhere as a true freshman. It’s huge to play as a true freshman in the B1G. It’s even bigger to play as a true freshman for the Ohio State University.
Dobbins was projected to have one of the biggest senior seasons in recent memory. On the first play of the 2016 season, he suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for the vast majority of the season. Despite this setback, Dobbins seems to have no ill effects from the injury, as he’s been rocketing up the depth chart at one of the best places to play college football in the nation.
