For many, UTSA football was the surprise story of last season in the Texas FBS. After hiring former LSU recruit Frank Wilson, the Roadrunners posted a 6-7 record, making a bowl berth for the first time in school history. The off-season was even more impressive; San Antonio was ranked in the state’s top-five recruiting by us, garnering an impressive 18 3-star commits – the most ever inked by the program.
The Roadrunners conclude 15 spring practices Saturday by hosting their seventh annual spring game at Dub Farris Stadium at 1pm. The “UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game” will celebrate the annual fiesta tradition of the Alamo City, pitting orange (offense) against white (defense). An altered score system accounts for numerous achievements, such as takeaways, interceptions and passing distance. The modifications are as follows:

Touchdown: 6
Field Goal: 3
Two-Point Conversion: 2
Fourth-Down Conversion: 2
Three Consecutive First Downs: 2
Explosive Pass (20-plus yards): 1
Explosive Run (12-plus yards): 1
Point After Touchdown: 1

Defense
Touchdown: 7
Takeaway: 3
Three-and-Out: 3
Fourth-Down Stop: 3
Safety: 3
Stop (force punt): 1
Sack: 1
Tackle For Loss: 1
