Week Eleven 3A Team of the Week: Harmony
3A Team of the Week: Harmony Eagles
A year ago, Harmony stunned the state with a state semifinal run following a 5-5 regular season.
The Eagles probably won’t be sneaking up on anyone this year.
With a district title on the line, Harmony went into hostile territory and knocked off Daingerfield 26-21.
The Tigers actually struck first in the game, but Harmony responded with three-straight touchdowns to grab a 20-8 lead it wouldn’t relinquish.
Evan Webber was Harmony’s bell cow on the night. He carried the ball 27 times for 211 yards and two touchdowns, including a 72-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Quarterback Boston Seahorn also pitched in with 86 yards passing, 51 yards on the ground, and two total touchdowns.
After an 8-2 regular season, Harmony will be a threat for another deep playoff run this year. Any potential run will start with the Eagles’ bi-district showdown against Hemphill in Jacksonville this Friday.
