Westlake Starter Nick Foles Returns To Starting Role
For a year that’s already seen a TXHSFB standout start as their play caller, the Indianapolis Colts will turn to another Lone Star State standout as their quarterback. Super Bowl victor and Westlake standout Nick Foles will start for the Indianapolis Colts against the Los Angeles Chargers this Monday. The veteran will serve as the third quarterback of the season.
The Westlake grad has yet to take a snap with Indy and threw only 35 passes with the Chicago Bears last season; he will get his chance following the worst comeback loss in league history.
A two-year starter for the Chaparrals, Foles threw for 5,648 yards and 56 touchdowns in his high school tenure. Once the holder of most of the school’s records, Foles was surpassed last year by quarterback Cade Klubnick’s 7,426 yards and 86 touchdowns.
