After being dismissed from the Kansas Jayhawks football program just ahead of fall camp, LaQuvionte Gonzalez will be spending his final collegiate season at NAIA program Southeastern, according to a report from KUSports.com.
A former Cedar Hill standout, Gonzales began his collegiate career at Texas A&M, in which he hauled in 26 receptions for 317 yards and two scores in two seasons.
Upon his arrival at Kansas, it didn’t take long for Gonzalez to emerge as an aerial threat, as his finished as the Jayhawks’ second-leading receiver with 62 catches for 729 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to his efforts in the return game.
After just one season in Lawrence, though, Gonzalez is headed to Lakeland, Florida, where he’ll aim to conclude his collegiate career on a high note.
