With spring football and the semester nearly over, Texas A&M is losing another contributor on the defensive side of the ball. On Friday, linebacker Richard Moore announced he would be transferring from Texas A&M.

The former Cedar Hill standout was expected to take on a greater role with the Aggies in 2017 after seeing an increase of his playing time in each of his first two seasons. After finishing his freshman season with 39 tackles and 7.5 for a loss, Moore saw action in 11 games his sophomore season and compiled 29 tackles and two for a loss.
Moore becomes the second defensive transfer for Texas A&M in the last three days. Defensive tackle Reggie Chevis announced earlier this week that he would be transferring from A&M to Houston to play his final season of eligibility.
There is no word yet of where Moore would transfer to. If he chooses to transfer to another FBS school, he would have two more years of eligibility after sitting out a year.
