Once again, Barry Odom and his staff have found success recruiting the fertile football soil in Texas with the latest commitment coming from Coppell offensive tackle Mike Ruth, who announced his pledge on Wednesday afternoon.

A three-star prospect, Ruth now becomes the Tigers’ sixth 2018 addition from The Lone Star State as part of a crop headlined by four-star Missouri City inside linebacker Chad Bailey, who committed on Sunday. With Ruth on board, half of Missouri’s 12-man 2018 haul consists of Texas products.
Ruth holds 21 offers to date and committed to Missouri over Texas Tech, Miami, SMU, Kansas State, Houston, Iowa State and Boise State, among others.
Missouri’s class now ranks No. 47 nationally and despite landing eight pledges throughout July, the Tigers’ recruiting haul is still just 12th best in the SEC.
At 6’7, 300 pounds, Ruth is ranked as the nation’s No. 1,037 player, No. 96 offensive tackle and the No. 137 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
