Week Eight 4A Team of the Week: Lindale
4A Team of the Week: Lindale Eagles
The statement win of the week belongs to the Lindale Eagles.
A week before, Kilgore, the number six team in 4A Division I, had beaten them soundly 64-29. There were no signs of that loss still hanging over their heads.
Hosting Tyler Chapel Hill, the number one team in 4A Division I, the Eagles had a dominant performance on the ground.
Running back Caleb Hart scored the first touchdown of the game for Lindale before quarterback Clint Thurman took over. Thurman rushed for four scores as Lindale jumped out to a 35-10 lead en route to a 35-23 victory.
Thurman finished with 310 yards rushing on 46 carries while Hart added another 49 yards on 15 carries.

The win was also the 50th career victory for Lindale head coach Chris Cochran.
At 3-1 in district play, the Eagles are now in second place in District 9-4A Division I. They will travel to Palestine this Friday as they look to build on this monumental victory.
